A session in animal welfare in aquaculture is a critical topic as it addresses the ethical treatment of aquatic animals in farming environments. Aquaculture has grown considerably in the last years and now with extra effort on land as well. This growth raises important questions about the welfare of the animals involved.

During this session we aim to address animal welfare issues, including living conditions, biosecurity, health management and humane handling.
