“Land-based salmonid farming to harvest size has been operated on a small scale for a long time but is emerging as one of the strongest growth prospects to complement traditional farming. A combination of a great set of conditions in Iceland make the country the current epicentre for this exciting new field. There are interesting challenges regarding both the sheer scale but also the technology needed not only to be able to farm on land but to be able to do it efficiently and consistently. This forum will cover some of the main themes of the industry today.”
