This talk will discuss how producers in Iceland need to use all possible means to get the fish to buyers in the most efficient and shortest possible time from Iceland. It will be discussed how Icelanders have an advantage over Norwegians in transporting salmon by ship to the USA in terms of transport time, while other routes are comparable or longer and more expensive.

It will also discuss how this advantage is used in the USA and what the market in general wants in terms of carbon neutrality. The talk will provide insight into the importance of choosing the right transport routes to meet market demands and promote sustainability
