A lot of focus has been in recent years on end-of-life solutions for marine aquaculture and fisheries equipment. Developing effective recycling pathways for the main materials used in the industry has allowed for value chains to develop that can support full circularity for some materials. This in turn has the potential to significantly lower the carbon footprint of aquaculture pens and netting.
